Why ED drugs do not fix the problem
All of the popular drugs to treat Erectile Dysfunction work on the same chemical pathway. They are all PDE5 inhibitors. Some last a couple hours. Some last longer. In basic terms, they extend the active time of the chemicals that make an erection happen in the first place.
That’s a good thing. They work for roughly half of the men who try them. They have side effects like headaches, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, color blindness, hearing loss, and dizziness. Sounds super sexy, right? Imagine any one of those while engaging in an evening of great sex.
One or more of these side effects happens to about 20% of men who take ED drugs. NONE of that is the critical reason not to pursue the drug ‘solution’.
The reason is that ED drugs don’t fix the problem. For about 80% of men the main reason they are suffering from ED is blood flow. Their arteries are getting clogged. If you don’t fix the blood flow problems that lead to ED then those problems will likely just get worse, and worse.
ED is the canary in the Your Trousers
It’s an early warning sign that you need to make some changes to improve blood flow in your arteries. Let’s look at some numbers.
Estimates are that 30,000,000 men in the U.S. suffer from ED. That’s bad enough, but it gets worse. Once a man has an erectile problem he doesn’t just run out and look for help. On average, men wait over 2 years to seek help.
Recent studies show that when a man begins suffering from ED he is 3-5 years away from developing the symptoms of cardiovascular disease. ED is a wake up call, but most men don’t get it.
That 2 year wait means many men are less than 3 years away from a heart attack. 25% of men in the U.S. die from it. Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death for men in the U.S.
Any man who does not actively work to improve the health of his heart and his arteries is destined to be one of those statistics.
ED drugs improve blood flow for a few hours. They don’t address the clogged arteries that created the bad blood flow. It’s easy to think you have ED fixed…but you don’t!
All of this can be avoided
There are natural solutions that are more effective than ED drugs. Understanding how they work will help you see how they not only help with ED, but can actually help to reverse the blood flow problems that often lead to a heart attack.
Why do arteries get clogged?
Damaged and clogged arteries are the main cause of erectile dysfunction. A breakdown in production of nitric oxide (NO) is one of the main reasons for ED. It is also why the timer has started toward your first heart attack.
NO is the molecule that signals your arteries to relax and expand. The men who discovered this received the Nobel Prize for their work. Without a healthy amount of NO your arteries don’t relax and expand. They stay constricted and you get high blood pressure.
Dr. Louis J. Ignarro spent years trying to track and understand how NO works. It was a big challenge. NO is a gas, and it only lasts a few seconds when it’s released. It triggers other chemicals that then signal your artery linings to relax.
This is absolutely critical information for every man and woman. Understanding NO and how important it is can help you save your own life! Dr . Ignarro wrote a book titled, NO More Heart Disease. Boosting NO production is critical to helping your body repair artery linings and to lower blood pressure naturally.
Humans don’t make Vitamin C. We need to get it from foods. NO is very similar. We can’t supplement NO directly, but we can boost all the precursor chemicals that the body needs to dramatically boost NO production. This is absolutely essential to long term heart and circulatory health. It can also help you Get Hard.
NO production is only the beginning of the chemical chain needed to boost blood flow. There are other steps along the way I will explain another time. PDE5 inhibitors are the end of that chemical chain. If your body is not producing enough NO in the first place then E.D. drugs won’t help you Get Hard.
The lining of your arteries contain very tiny muscles. These muscles are ONE CELL THICK, so they don’t have any backup. If they get damaged they don’t relax as they do in a healthy man. Oxidative stress is one reason that these tiny muscles get damaged.
When these muscles are healthy the lining of your arteries act like Teflon® and nothing sticks to them. When damaged they get sticky. You can see the problem here.
ED drugs do not help your body repair the damage that is causing the blood flow problems that are at the core of what causes ED. This means future cardiovascular problems are a few years away.
ED drugs, for most men, become less effective over time. This means you need to take a higher dose to get a similar effect. This higher dose could mean more unpleasant side effects.
